Ice Cream Social

Create the atmosphere- consider dressing like an old-fashioned soda fountain server, complete with white shirt, red bow tie, and paper hat.  Decorate with empty, clean ice cream containers, or sundae or banana split dishes.  Or, use bright sherbert or pastel color placemats.

Show tips- Anything goes when making a sundae, and it's so easy with the right tools.  Assemble a sundae bar including toppings such as chopped nuts or cookies (Food Chopper), fresh sliced fruit (Egg Slicer Plus), cookie cutouts (Creative cutters), brownies (stoneware square baker), cake (loaf pan), whipped topping (Easy accent decorator), and of course a variety of ice cream flavors (Ice Cream scoop)

Add 2 tbsp of your favorite flavored ice cream syrup to 2 cups whipped topping.  Mix and spoon into Easy Accent Decorator.  Pipe onto ice cream desserts to create a decorative flavored topping

One scoop with the Ice Cream Scoop is 1/4 cup.  A standard size serving for ice cream is 1/2 cup.

To make decorative chocolate curls to top ice cream desserts, hold the Vegetable peeler against the narrow side of a chocolate square.  Using even pressure, push blade away from you to create curls.

To prevent moisture loss and ice crystal formation after a container of ice cream has been opened, press a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the ice cream before returning the container to the freezer.

Try sliced fresh fruits and granola to make an excellent, healthy addition to your favorite ice cream instead of syrups and candies.

Add flair to your dessert plate by melting 1 cup of semisweet chocolate morsels in the Micro-Cooker on HIGH for 1 1/2 -2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth.  With V-shaped cutter, drizzle melted chocolate onto plate in a zigzag fashion.  Top plate with dessert of your choice.

2 cups softened ice cream (any flavor)*
1 1/2 cups self rising flour**

Preheat your oven to 350. Grease your Round Covered Baker or line it with parchment paper.  In Classic Batter bowl mix the ice cream and flour together until just combined.
Scoop into baker and smooth out.  Bake covered for about 30 minutes. Take the lid off to continue to brown the top for about 10 minutes.  Remove from the baker and allow to cool (if you can wait that long)!

*Use a flavorful ice cream like peach, butter pecan or strawberry (be creative, vanilla is too bland).
**If not using self rising flour, use this instead.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Ice Cream Nachos!
Make Cinnamon Chips.

(Brush flour tortillas with water using pastry brush. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon/sugar mixture - FSS. Cut into triangles using Pizza Cutter. Place on stone and bake @ 400 until lightly browned.)

Place cooled Cinnamon Chips all over Large Square Simple Additions Platter.

Using Ice Cream scoop, scoop ice cream all over on top. ** ice cream can be "pre-scooped" and frozen, try setting on Cool and Serve Square Tray
Using egg slicer plus, garnish with sliced strawberries & sliced bananas
Chop nuts with Food Chopper, sprinkle on top.
Drizzle Caramel and Chocolate sauce on top.
** Can use v-shaped cutter and/or baggie w/twix-it! clip
Place dollops of whipped cream all over "nachos' using Easy Accent Decorator , and grate chocolate bar over entire platter using Microplane Fine Grater

Apple Pie a la Stone

1 can Apple Pie Filling

1 Graham Cracker Pie crust

1 jar Caramel Ice Cream Topping

½ gallon Vanilla Ice Cream

12 oz Cool Whip, thawed (please provide “Cool Whip” brand original style)

I’ll bring the Korinjte Cinnamon

Black Forest

1 can cherry pie filling

1 box brownie mix baked before I arrive

½ gallon chocolate ice cream

2 Milk Chocolate Hershey Bars

1 bottle Hershey’s Syrup

12 oz Cool Whip, thawed (please provide “Cool Whip” brand original style)

Strawberry Shortcake

1 Saralee Pound Cake, thawed OR a yellow cake mix, baked & cooled before I arrive

2 cups fresh Strawberries

12 oz Cool Whip, thawed (please provide “Cool Whip” brand original style)

½ gallon Vanilla ice cream

Here is a Pound Cake recipe to use with the ColdStone demo. Personally I love Sara Lee pound cake...but it is expensive and we don't need the whole cake for our demo. This is a great inexpensive alternative!

Pound Cake  

This recipe is found on the box of Duncan Hines Lemon Cake mix. It is delicious as a lemon pound cake, but I have done it with other flavors as well. Just match the flavor of pudding to the flavor of cake you are using. I combine lemon juice of one lemon with the water and use the zest of one lemon in the Lemon pound's delicious!

1 pkg. cake mix

1 (3.4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding

4 large eggs

1 c. water

1/3 vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients, beat for 2 minutes. Pour into prepared fluted pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven and cool in pan 25 minutes. Remove to cooking rack.
